It was reported missing 50 minutes into flight. Hours later, it had not reached an airport and must be on the ground somewhere because it had exceeded the amount of time it could fly based on its fuel load.

Third world airlines, maybe someone forgot to top off the tank? Sad.

The past decade US 2 deaths per 100 million passengers. 153 total deaths. In Michigan last year 1200 where shot and killed... 942 died in car wrecks. So you statistically you have a HUGE chance to get shot and run over as opposed to plane crashes.

Pssht, statistics. If it isn't on TV it doesn't really happen, plus, for the most part only 1 or 2 people die at a time in a car. Since the shootings aren't in my backyard, who cares about them, they probably deserved it anyway.

Of the 1200 gun deaths in Michigan last year... the majority were suicides....    

So the gun-control side has that going for them, which is nice.

Cleanliness in food prep & hospitals are other examples. The guy who fills the tank is probably the same guy that loads the baggage & pushes the plane back. If you consider airlines headquartered in Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, and Madrid 3rd world, I hope you never have to visit some of America's own cities. (Algerian flight was operated by a Spanish airline with a majority of French nationals on board).

The term Third World technically refers to nations not allied with NATO (First World) or the Warsaw Pact (Second World), so 2 out of the 3 you mentioned are, by definition, Third World.

If you want to define countries by NATO status then all South American and Asia-Pacific nations would be left out, a few of which are most certainly not "Third World" (unless you consider allies to be members as well). The designation is silly, anyways.
