Please explain how this chair is nearly $7,500

I mean, it looks nice, but it’s not beautiful. It’s really only going to fit in someone’s office, because it’s not really a family room/den type of design. So, how does Herman Miller get away with the price tag, and why do people keep buying it? Did Margot Robbie spend a few hours sitting in each individual chair naked in order to 1) break in the leather and 2) leave her butt print permanently on it?
Please, if you know the answer, or choose to speculate, I’d enjoy knowing.

Looks pretty comfortable.

My old place were real dicks about office furniture. Many of the chairs looked to be new in the 50s or 60s. Some had been welded out in the shop after they broke. If you wanted a comfortable desk chair you had to bring your own. One guy had a Herman Miller that cost him $1200. I enjoyed sitting in it when he was on vacation. Mesh cushion retained no fart smell.

I believe most of that cost is for the ottoman. That's how they get ya.
