Do you like or dislike having a bye week right before the game with scum?

If this team hadn’t had issues these last two wins, I’d’ve said no, the bye will disrupt the flow of the team. But now it seems a good idea to rest, let the little injuries heal, and then refocus and recalibrate the little things that have creeped into team play.

Also wondering if all the attention MSU has been getting has maybe gotten a little distracting. Getting pulled in different directions can affect players’ focus. Not saying they’ve been reading too many stories about themselves. That would be a different, bigger issue. Let the team have its fun, but keep them centered.

Bye week coming at perfect time, regardless of next opponent.

As I always say, if we win it’s good if we lose its bad. I read we’re like 9-6 in the past 15 years. That also is a reflection of who we played probably. Always good to heal your wounded.

Those bye weeks we had in the second week were ridiculous. The earliest for any team ought to be after like the third game, minimum.

It seems like we've had so many byes that were either really early in the season or really late in the season, leading us to be carrying 9-10 weeks' worth of wear and tear at some point in the season. This seems like a nice time to have it in general.

And I absolutely am in favor of it coming before we play UM. Not just for rest, but to give Mel and the staff 2 weeks to work up a special gameplan.
