Make the playoffs? Fellas, we are in the playoffs!

In 2015, we dropped to #13 after we lost.

And then bets were made.

We’re in the playoffs starting now.

The analogy was the loss to Nebraska in 2015. Every game after that was a playoff game.

I think this was worse than the last time we were in the playoffs.

Right... and the rest of the season wouldn't be a "wrap up" of what could have been... It would still be engaging and exciting. (Plus 11 other schools and a bunch of bubble teams)

An automatic berth for conference champs basically makes that part of the playoff. That gives you 10 teams. After that you have 5 winners. Add 3 teams to get to 8. Or add 2 teams to play off for the 6th spot (in a 6 team playoff).

Well, at some point they will figure out how to inject some sort of parity into the talent... then this would be fun as hell. Maybe the transfer portal will loosen up the current grip on the top by osu/bama types. Pretty sure Tuck would love any of the 3rd string DBs at any of those schools right now.

Works both ways though. Bama's leading tackler and WR both portaled into the program.
