Super Bowl Time! 16 picks to finish out the extended season.

You respond in this thread (PMs will be ignored) with up to 16 pro picks in this format:

This format allows me to easily import everyone's picks, & tabulate results with my uber awesome Excel formulas. Pro games will be numbered similarly (e.g. P1, P2, P3, etc.)

Zero points for a loss or push. 1 point for a win.

You can edit your picks up until the start of the 1st game. Any edits to your post after that will cancel your picks. If you fuck up & pick both sides (or the over & the under) of the same game, those picks are cancelled. If you pick more than 16, the picks beyond 16 will be ignored. If you post picks multiple times, I'll ignore all your picks and/or ban you at my discretion. Double check your work like a proper college graduate.

Motion to vacate Kingston’s picks because he was 4 minutes late and I’ve been doing nothing but picking the exact opposite of the leader for a month and a half (except when I was the leader which caused an existential crisis) so it was kinda rude of him to do that

The results are in! Big congrats to Kingstonlake   , who has won the Extended Season Championship in a photo finish despite a dismal 6 for 16 showing in the final week. Nigel & Travis had a chance to capitalize, but could not convert. Also, congrats to all 3 for scoring over 50% overall. Special participation ribbons go to the top 8, who persevered thru all 23 weeks of picks.

Oh yeah I mentioned it above but for weeks I’ve just been picking the opposite of whoever was in the lead. It was actually too successful, I came into first place two weeks early and didn’t know what to do with myself at that point. For the Super Bowl since Kingston was so late with his picks I just picked the opposite of Nigel, which didn’t net enough to make up the 5 points I was down on Kingston

I think we also need to figure out some way to get people that missed a week or two involved. I don’t know how to do that really, maybe drop everyone’s worst two weeks of the regular season? We can noodle on it got a long off-season of plotting

Something like that, thought of two lists, one percentage of wins, but that can be manipulated.

Another thought, I don’t even know if I like this one (I might, I’m not sure) but I’m putting it out there for the committee to consider- we could put our own point values on each pick that correspond to a confidence value. So if there are 16 picks, we assign each one with 1-16, never using the same value twice, and that’s how many points you get if you’re right.

Another idea, using same format as this year for easy entry by whomever, HM assumed, would by for picks to be PMed to HM instead of posting.

Early on that was why I asked if the actual highest win percentage would be the winner. With 14 games posted you could say you need to pick a minimum of 10 games per week. That way if you miss a week you could pick all 14 games in the next few weeks until you’re caught up.

So let’s say 20wks x 10 picks per week =200 picks to be eligible to win

Yeah but people miss weeks. It happens to all of us from time to time. I think it’s more fun if half the people haven’t quit altogether by the end
