Do facts matter?

VP Harris recently said this:

"For working families, we have reduced heating and electricity bills so folks have more money in their pockets to buy things like schools supplies, replace the dishwasher or take a family vacation"

Now we can agree or disagree politically, and we can disagree about the reasons for the price of things, but is it not a fact that heating and electricity bills are up?

Not a math wizard but I think this can be considered a reduction for many folks.

You’d think the smartest guy on the board would know the difference between a reduction and a decline.

The whole thread basis is your definition of "working families" and Harris' differ slightly.

Not sure that is the same "facts matter" realm as say... telling the american people you had an EXCELLENT health plan which was going to be YUGE and never actually having one OR ya know... I won the election and everyone who says I didn't is cheating... but I digress.

TrapperGus told us a few weeks ago that only headlines matter. Sadly, I believe he was correct.

In addition to covering home heating costs this winter and unpaid utility bills, the program will help families make cost-effective home energy repairs to lower their heating and cooling bills...

We lower heating bills by raising the temperature around the globe.
