What happened to Lori Lightfoot?

It seemed that at one point she was considered a darling of the political elite within and most especially outside the city. Now she doesn't even make the primary?

She turned out to be not so good at politically running Chicago, which based on the last two Mayors may be such a hot mess that anyone not named "Daily(sp)" is toast.

The legend lives on from Chicago on down to the windy place they call murder City.

She did really well on the south and west sides, but not so much in the more densely populated north side. All in all, it did not seem like she had the skills needed to be an effective leader. I think what happened is a lot of people felt she was not great at her job, especially the uptight northsiders.

Think she’ll protest and say it was rigged?

Who is the GOP candidate who will run against one of the the Democrats who who finished 1 and 2 in the primary?

Why should you care?

It’s a major American city, and the Chicagoland GDP is north of $600 billion. Given its significance to the country as a whole, we should all at least have an interest in how it’s governed.
