Was talking to a number of IU grads at a party a few weeks ago. They seem to be pretty well split down the middle on how good Crean is. Some are still leaning on what he was left with when he arrived (even though he's had full classes through since then), and others are in the camp of he's a good recruiter and a bad game coach. No surprise that I've been with the latter for some time. The guy is an idiot.

I have a purdue friend that loves tom crean. That should tell you all you need to know if you cheer for IU hoops

These things are not very surprising. The best CIS schools in basketball practice year round with coaching, that is actually allowed in the CIS. Carleton won the basketball title on Sunday and they were back at practice Tues prepping for their season in October. Ottawa is no joke they made the national title game last year against Carleton. Carleton lost to Syracuse by a bucket last year, they took Louisville to OT a couple years ago as well.
