It's time to fire up the S.S. Spartan. When the Badger fails call the Spartan to get the job done.

Wasn't aware there was another passenger/auto ferry across Lake Michigan until today. Not as big as Badger, but a lot faster.
I took a high-speed ferry across Lake Michigan, and the beautiful shortcut saved me from hours of traffic

Very much in favor of using a ferry service whenever someone’s in the mood, but that express term is a misnomer. By the author’s estimation, the trip only takes a half hour off his drive, one way. He’s also expected to show up 45” in advance for ticketing, and the ferry arrived and then departed behind schedule. He also won’t have his car unless he ponies up another ~ $225, so it’s about $450 round trip to have his car, and it takes longer than if he were to drive, and much more expensive. That’s a high price to pay for eliminating the stress of driving through Chicago.

Oh, and within that $225 RT tickets, he’s paying a fuel charge? That’s something that should be included in the original ticket price.

Thanks for pointing out things the reviewer already suggested
Sounds like a nice, stressless trip if you can afford it.

I grew up 25 miles of back roads from that ludington ferry. Never took it. But did about 20 trips around the big lake.
I think Ghostz walked it once when the lake froze over.

Yeah wth. It's +$175/person. How about they just let me sit in my car for free.
