I was living about a mile from Harpo's in the mid-80s. I don't remember hearing that BTO was going to be there. I mean, I might have dropped in if I knew.

I don't know of an MSU connection, but I ain't working overtime on it.

You don't get to be one of the top fifty BTO historians in the Great Lakes region by wasting your time on Three Dog Night.

It’s been too many years to be certain, but I think it was just a random thing. Aside from playing the area, I don’t recall there being any direct connection to MSU.
