Why is 3 game win coach Sharone Moore suddenly a “hot property” and a candidate for an HC job?

They probably stopped scouting Alabama after their loss to Texas. I am waiting for Santa Ono to send an angry letter to somebody saying this is all so unfair because they didn't have an opportunity to cheat as much as they would have liked. They should not even be in this playoff.

I have lost a lot of faith in Nordic, Nigel, and CaptainSlow. The Captain promised us Dan Enos and said MSU would purchase the University of Arizona. False. Nigel said UM would not play in the B10 championship. False. Nordic said FSU would get in and that Travis would buy me pizza. Also false. I am sad.

What would they do if army or navy were ever in a position to be in the ny6 or make the playoff? 

I googled before I posted, apparently the plan would be to move the announcing until next week if that we’re a possibility. Posting anyway because one day you’ll wonder yourself, and now you know.

My FSU buddies keep complaining about Bama and the SEC getting favorable treatment, but I keep telling them that their anger should be directed at the fact that the one of the teams is known to be cheating and will end up vacating their appearance in the CFP.

Who knew that have a playoff with 4 teams but having 5 major conferences would cause problems? 

Someone had to get fucked. It is what it is. Fsu has a national championship in their trophy case because the playoff was one year late and they didn’t have to play msu in 2013. Don’t feel bad for them.

Once our FB program is restored to its rightful place atop the B1G, it will be MSU getting jailsexed. Based on past experiences, it’s just how it works.

There will be 12 teams, you really don’t have any complaints if you can only be as good as Penn state is this year and still make it

The system screws a team we don't like but it's alright because we don't like that team. Guess what? That just allows the system to go on being rigged. We are such good little foot soldiers for our corporate overlords. I can't wait for this all to come crashing down.

I like the fact Nick Saban has a month to prepare while Harbaugh will be babbling his us vs The World BS.

It’s going to 12 teams next year to address exactly this problem. The fix is already done. What are you even talking about with “go on being rigged”? What else do you want to change?

I forgot about the upcoming 12 team playoff. All of college football's problems will be solved.

Here is a proposed change: the NCAA starts governing post-season NCAA football instead of corporate sponsors. How about instead of a post-season system where brand value matters most - UM cheated their way to a #1 seed, nothing will be done, and that would not change if it was a 12 or 120 team playoff - it's just the results on the field regardless of the name of the school.

18% of D1 basketball teams are included in the NCAA tournament, while 9% of IA football teams will make the expanded playoff. The playoff expansion does not change the fact that no matter how much more they do, some schools that are a part of IA football will almost never be a part of the playoff. I would rather see 11-2 Tulane, 11-1 James Madison, 13-0 Liberty, or 11-2 Southern Methodist than boring Penn State or Oklahoma. Yet it is also P5 schools, too. Go back to 2017. MSU finished 9-3 with two wins over top 10 teams but would have missed an expanded playoff.

I got many, and according to my post-season basketball formula, you cost MSU 6 points in last season's Sweet 16 when you took your socks off and switched from the recliner to the sofa at the start of overtime. I believe MSU lost by 5.

Look if we’re talking about um or fsu, sure fine i agree. If we’re talking about alabama or fsu, which is mostly what everyone is talking about out there and what my post was meant to be referencing, then I don’t think fsu should get a spot above alabama. Above Michigan yes, above alabama no. 

That said, man I think sometimes we have to either accept college football for what it is or abandon it entirely. We each make our own personal choice on that. 

I think that the subjectiveness is silly. I’m going to save everyone from it this year but every year in this very thread I post my subjective free playoff proposal. It does involve cutting your southern miss’ and liberty’s loose to have their own division and their own playoff. Unfortunately there’s really no subjective free way to suss out 120 teams and 12 game schedules. I don’t think it’s fair to the players at Oklahoma to say “well turtleneck is sick of seeing them, so let’s put in Liberty who is 13-0 while playing a d2 or whatever schedule.” 

There’s a reason why English soccer, with around 120 professional teams, is broken into 5-6 different leagues, and winning that is the best you can do in a given year. You can’t stick them all in the same league and have a true winner when they will all only play a handful of the other teams (On that note, I would not support promotion/relegation for individual teams, but I would argue that on an individual player level the portal kind of functions like that.)

Anyway, rambling but yeah fuck Michigan obviously.

The FBS is still stacking the deck for the chosen.

Top 4 get a bye. If it’s a playoff make it 16 teams. Everyone has to play the same number of games.

One extra game for the final two. Think it will happen by 2030.

Starting next season that 5th team becomes the automatic snubbed, chip on their shoulders self-proclaimed underdogs. 

It’s all made for TV and the 12 team playoff gives the bidding TV network(s) an extra week of made for TV drama.

JFC, DeSantis just appropriated $1 million dollars to litigation over FSU being left out of the CFP.

Good lord. I mean, I like FSU. I like their fans (usually). I like their campus. Would be proud to be a Seminole Dad if my daughter goes there. But this is UM level whining. And DeSantis didn't even go to FSU, so it's like Walmart Nole whining.

Now, if he could direct that million dollars to investigating why a program that is known to have cheated their way into the CFP at FSU's expense, then I'm on board.
