I do take some satisfaction that I alledegly destroyed the soap dispenser at Duffys place before I knew him many many moons ago. Perhaps that explains his hostility against me? Lol

....oh and one weekend a decade ago I did have to call the cops on myself repeatedly to be let in bars. See I had the old laminated license, probably the last valid one in the state. Lol

That place was great. The staff new who we were and that we tipped relatively well, especially for college students. Although the drink are always poured doubles, ours always seemed a bit stronger than that. They had some of the best salsa I've had in MI. Ahh, good times.

it's a great place... to me, the better bars are in Lansing - Stobers, Moriarty's, The Unicorn, LeRoys.. etc

There used to be a piano bar as well, near the baseball stadium. That was fun every once in a while, probably shut down by now though.

My BIL used to manage or bounce at Macs, and I lived off Allen street, near Papa Johns, so I stayed in that area. Macs was fun, but also helps when everyone knows who you are and the muscle is on your side.

I never went to that damn piano bar - the thought of going into a place like that made me nauseous - getting in at 10 pm tonight.... 502811600

yep that was it.

I had heard of some shady stuff, too - as it makes sense why it seemed to go under. It was always crowded and popular - figured something happened for it to shut down quite suddenly.
