Baylor's O

Why is everyone I hear think they are a pass-happy team? Watch them you will see that they prefer to run. They like to spread you out and then run up the middle. If you start bringing more men into the box they throw quickly out to the WR and once in a while slip one of the WR deep. But their aim is to run the football. I think we the front four will be huge in stopping the run. I think having Mylan Hicks at LB will help. And having Cox as another big, strong CB to fight through those quick WR screens will be huge.

To back up my point about the run/pass the K-State game Baylor rushed 37 times and passed 41. Against TCU it was 54 rushes and 55 passes. And at OU it was 33 rushes and only 29 pass attempts. The key will be to be able to stop the run with with just 6 and have the DBs tackle well in space.
