Google Cardboard...

Anybody tried it? Only $25.

I've read a bit about it on PhysOrg in the last year. Interesting idea. The API is still being developed, but I think there's some beta apps out there to mess around with. I think there's some potential there for developers with some good ideas.

When I first read about it a year ago, their idea was that people would just make it out of cardboard or whatever they had on hand, and they offered their cardboard kit for those who didn't want to mess with making their own.  The last article I read on it was a couple of months ago.  Pretty cool stuff.

I looked at the SDK, but they only offer it as an Android Studio project and I have Eclipse.  I could just convert it over with a little effort, but I'm too lazy to do it right now.  Chances are, someone has already converted it to an Eclipse project so I'll check that out later.

That's pretty cool for $25. I'll have to read up on the apps, if there's something with good reviews I'll probably get one.
