MSU is starting two seniors, two juniors, and four 4-stars. We're starting two freshman, a sophomore, and one 4-star. We have 5(!) freshman in our 8-man rotation. That is a tremendous advantage for MSU in both ranking and experience, so basically, you could not be more wrong.

But I think with this team in particular, we're seeing things evolve in terms of rotation, offensive execution, halfcourt defensive communication – and I think now we can say it: toughness. That was always something I wasn't sure would be in large supply with this team. From the outside looking in -- but also from being around these people quite a bit in the past few months -- this is flat-out the best locker room Izzo has had since 2006-07 in terms of true chemistry and character. Nice kids. There really wasn't much indication they could dig down and suffocate a top-10 team like Maryland, though.
