He never was much of a dribbler.

I kid, I kid.  It's good to see him stay close to the program and speaks volumes about Izzo,

I'm just gonna flat out come out and say it.

Tom Izzo is a better man than Bob Sakimano.

This is the warm side of Izzo — among the reasons he can scream at players for four years and keep life-long relationships.

"I heard a couple weeks ago that Alex was struggling, like all players do when they get to the real world," Izzo said. "Nothing bad. You're kind of lost. I know I was. … I just went into my office (Wednesday) morning and I was kind of thinking about all the players of the past, I looked up on my board and his name was up on my board, his phone number from last year."

Izzo called. Gauna called back.

"I said, 'How would you like to take the trip with us and kind of go out with your class?'" Izzo said. "I didn't know what he would say. He was so excited it made me feel good."

I wonder why he works at Player's Choice Golf in Okemos. You'd figure he has his degree or close to being done, and that he's developed some connections to be doing a job better than that.

Glad he's doing alright, but it was just kind of curious to see that he's doing that post-basketball.

I don't know. Who could we ask about which players kissed the Spartan head?

I went to the same HS as this guy, graduated with his older brother. Any success he has in life makes me feel old, so I intensely resent him.
