So Friday I had a CAT scan of my neck. Thursday morning I find out if I have cancer of the salivary glands.

Wasn't going to say anything but found out that yesterday was the three year anniversary of Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys' passing. He died of cancer of the salivary glands. Kind of sobering.

So I let the cat out of the bag on tTurd. Thought I should here as well.

Hope for the all clear. I have a friend who went through the cancer you're talking about, been 10+ years and he's still around, so it's never a done deal, whatever they tell you.

Wow, has to be hell waiting. Pulling for you, hope it turns out to be nothing. That said, while still scary as hell, cancer isn't the death sentence it used to be, so even with bad news its not necessarily the end of the world.
