Diclaimer: I was not commissioned to do a scientific study on order of business (and/or science) by the Co11 (or 13, or howevermany, I forget). But I did one anyway. I wasn't seeking out data, it just came to me.

You know how every once in a while, over the past 10-15-20 years or so, some jackhole on another board will start a thread saying that we are gaining national traction because said jackhole was just in (so and so location) and said jackhole saw (x many) MSU shirts?

Well I am proud to proclaim that we still need Coach D and Coach Izzo to keep a chip on their shoulders and speak softly while carrying a big stick. And whatnot.

Saw Zero (0) - oh shit, I didn't mean it to look like that. ZERO MSU gear in visiting too many Disney Parks to recollect over the past week. Saw about eight fourteen Michigan gears. Usually on kids and unsavory folks. Why would wear that stuff? I don't even know.

I saw some Tigers stuff. No MSU stuff. Lots of "scum" stuff. I think they're winning. We should surrender.

I'm going to spin this from the optimist perspective: Maybe your Disney experience was the outlier, anecdotally. Maybe those jackholes, as you drunkenly refer to them, are the people seeing the paradigm shift. For example, on my lavish two-day business trip to London a few weeks ago, I saw people in MSU apparel twice--in different locations.
So suck on that, Debbie Downer. MSU is gaining internationally!

It was so fucking mind and skull numbingly humid and hot I couldn't wear a t-shirt, even with an undershirt. I wore a moisture wicking tank with a loose short sleeve button down in the AM and a moisture wicking tank with a moisture wicking UA shirt in the PM.

Fuck Florida. I have a soft spot in my hear for Central Florida as I spent a ton of time there growing up but jesus, the heat/humidity combo is soul crushing this time of year. No BS I would rather be outside in for prolonged periods in 0 degree temps than the 98 with 93% humidity shit I experienced this week.

InTen, I have no idea how you golf in this. You must tee off at 6:15 AM.

I was recently in Florida myself. 92 to 95 every day. I have no idea how you could possibly have done an amusement park unless it wss air conditioned or in water. I could barely survive the beach by gettimg in the 87 degree Gulf every 15 minutes.
The maintenance guy that came to my room sent a daughter to MSU.
I have nothing else to report. One day I was at St Pete Beach wearing a Browns shirt and several people made comments like "I'm sorry"

It's pretty brutal but you gotta suck it up for the kids. Wife is a teacher so this is pretty much when we can go. We go at park open and usually leave at noon or 12:30 and head back to the condo. Then go back to the park at 6:30 or 7. That helps. But you still sweat like a pig. Have to embrace the sweat, it's inevitable.

I probably posted this before but Orlando is kind of like a second home to me. My mom grew up in Orlando, went to ucf, and my grandparents continued to live there until I was 10 or so. They're long gone, but we actually still own the house. I've been going to Orlando and WDW for almost 35 years, so they hold a special nostalgic place in my heart, despite the monster they have transformed into. I have probably been to Orlando 100x + in my 38 years and the MK 50+. Not a Disney dork but it's a pretty cool place for little kids. Fun to watch them seeing their animated heroes in person.

Florida is pretty much a hell hole. That is all I got out of his thread. It's hard not to think about Florida sucking when Florida is mentioned. Just typing this out made me take off my shirt and set my neighbors trash on fire.

I don't get why people would want to retire to somewhere so shitty. If you really want to have beaches and not deal with shitty winters, there's plenty of better states down south than Florida.

My in laws have a condo in Scottsdale. My MIL winters there. When my FIL asked me about the trip, I told him we had a great time, but slipped in there how oppressive the heat/humidity is. He launched into his Arizona sales pitch regarding the lack of humidity, and I'm like looking into the phone with a confused look on my face. Scottsdale is nice, sure. My kids like going there to visit Grandma. I like to golf there. Sedona is beautiful. But where the fuck is Disney World Phoenix? Where is Universal Studios Phoenix? Where is Cocoa Beach Phoenix?

Sounds like San Diego is the place to retire to. Perfect weather year-round and Disneyland is only a couple hours away.
