What the fuck happened? Disillusioned?

Yeah. Can't stand how tRCMB is modded by some of the most ignorant, self-righteous, self-serving, and inconsistent turds outside of Ann Arbor. After having around ten user names banned over there, I figured I would take my talents to a message board like this: one with less discriminating taste.

We've been here for over a year man. What took you so long?

I was under the misguided delusion that the mods over there would remove the gigantic crammed up their ass. I was wrong.

The UM hate, everyone attempting to be a comedian with the redundant jokes, the hate for someone with a differing opinion, and the annoying, played out rivalries that completely take over every thread.

Nucky is a huge problem. They way he can create usernames and we really have no way of verifying identities makes new usernames suspicious if they jump right into the conversation.

It's not really a huge problem. You make it a problem. Nucky here is Marc summers. He posts annoying stuff once in awhile, but everyone knows exactly what it is. He has violated the rules, but that was just deleted. Otherwise, he just posts about stuff under one name.

Let him have a username, let him post, delete when he crosses the line (which, probably set the line further away than "I'm locking this because I don't like this poster or conversation") and all of a sudden it isn't nearly as much of an issue.

What have you got to lose? Might as well try that. Your constant bannings for years has clearly not worked and will continue to not work. Stop fighting it and try an alternative solution.

I think he's had 10 names banned. I just jumped into the middle of the conversation.

247's business model is based on recruiting news and the recruiting beat writers seem to have a weekly quota of teaser posts for premium members.

After a few years 274 still doesn't know what the RCMB is. Their world is uber fans, recruitniks and charging for premium service even when they say the summer months were supposed to be free according to a locked thread.

Re: Nucky. Feel like there are times at other board where I am reading conversation of one person taking place between/among multiple user names.

Also, Bob was great on the other board. His shtick is less effective here but not for a lack of effort.

that's been the operating strategy for me, and I have never stopped conversations because I didn't like them. However, our good friend Nuck has a tendency to bait and say racist things. With a larger pool to troll, he gets many more on the line and can easily fuck up thread after thread.

That's true. I guess having more normal people here instead of a group of thousands of spazzes who really really love recruiting probably helps.

I'm not looking at a micro perspective, as personally I've always treated the two sites the same. Step back and look at the whole and see that an rcmb thread is always a guaranteed way to spike activity around here as it is instantly a 50+ post thread.

So, to say we've evolved as a collective whole, is incorrect. Congrats for you though.
