Are all epoxys the same?
I need to affix a slate shingle to a piece of rough (unsanded) wood. It's street art we recently bought in NOLA. I'm thinking Liquid Nails or PL, if it's available. Any other brands to consider? The slate is heavy and the epoxy needs to hold in perpetuity--not dry up and crumble in a year or two.

Snake is wrong. For gluing slate to wood you want this:
Do not over apply as it will splooge out from the edges. It's basically the same stuff as spray foam. Get the two surfaces damp and apply a few drops of this and clamp together. It's not going to come apart. Period.
