Buy any StarKist lately?

Anyway there's a class action settlement and I have no idea why they were sued but they're giving away money.

File a claim and you get either $25 in cash or $50 in coupons

"The Lawsuit claims that StarKist Co. ("StarKist") under-filled certain 5 oz. canned tuna products in violation of state and federal law. StarKist denies that it underfilled its products and denies that it did anything wrong. The Court did not rule in favor of Plaintiff or StarKist. Instead, the parties agreed to a Proposed Settlement to avoid the expense and risks of continuing the lawsuit."

It says the $25 will go down if too many people file a claim..... I bet we end up getting like $2 and change. Hell, I was in on the Sylvania auto bulb one and was supposed to get almost $30 and ended up with 11 and change.

Interesting. This is the first I've heard of it. I checked its retailers and it's available all over EL. Will have to try it.

Goes for $5.29 a 5 oz can at the Nino Salvaggio's near me. Much cheaper buying it online.

Let me know what prices you see in EL

Also, I just checked Amazon and a six-pack goes for $23.22, which is $3.87/can. That's considerably better than the $5.29 you have near you. I don't have Prime, but it's free shipping at $35. I'd def be ordering at least 10 cans.

Forgot I had the Meijer app on my phone. Did a search of three stores nearest to me and Wild Planet tuna isn't listed, despite the WP site saying Meijer is a retailer. WP also says Fresh Thyme sells it, but I'm not buying it there even if it's offered; they're wildly overpriced.

Good. I bought a bunch of that stuff and drained the water out of it. Not much left in the can once I did that. Serves them effers right. If you're going to deplete the world's oceans of tuna at least make it worth our while. But come to think of it, maybe those effers figured that since everyone was so pissed about them filling half of the can with dolphin that maybe they would make us do without and we wouldn't notice.
