On Sunday night starting at 9:07 p.m., the Earth will pass directly between the sun and the moon, which will cast a glowing orange shadow on our lunar satellite in a total eclipse.

“To make matters more interesting, the reddish, eclipsing moon will be in ‘perigee’ phase — which means it is closest to the Earth for September,” writes our astronomy expert Blaine Friedlander, “and in fact, it is the closest point all year — what some call a ‘supermoon.’ A so-called supermoon appears 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than when the moon is farthest away from Earth.

I took some pictures. But they're all pixelated. Not much to see. If I post them and reduce their size, it'll get even more pixelated.

I might have gotten a decent one or two. Not sure what the right shutter speed is. I took some at 1/10 and some at 1/5. Also my zoom lens is lacking. Also I'm buzzed and in general have very little idea what I'm doing with a camera.
