I thought about it last night, they should move K Rod to the first reliever out of the pen and do the 9th inning by committee. Just like last night as soon as the pitcher struggles put in a reliever. It's time to just forget about having a pitcher that can shut down 3 batters in the 9th.

It's just not there.

The team has a very talented batting lineup and a pretty decent defense. We are going to find out what we have with our starting rotation, but what we do know so far is we don't have a 9th inning closer.

It would be a real shame to blow a season because of poor pitching in the last inning.

His velocity is so low. His change ups are in the low 80s. I think i saw one last night that was at 82mph. That doesn't concern you?

No. Not unless he has lost velocity since last year and I don't have the metrics to prove or disprove that. He was very good last year. His change up was the best strikeout pitch in the game.

Was going to go to the Rockies game tomorrow with a group but I'm broke as hell from going skiing the past two weekends. hiking or biking and the Masters this weekend.

I stepped outside 15-20 minutes ago to check the weather and thought the same thing.  Then I remembered the wind downtown is always 3,000mph faster because of proximity to the river.
