I hung in there last year through some miserable low points. I couldn't even watch today. My wife checked on the phone and told me Detroit was getting their ass kicked. I'm content to enjoy the weather instead of watching this shit.

This biggest bit of outrage I have at this point is hiring him for the 2014 season. WTF was Dombrowski thinking handing the keys over to a rookie manager?

I do think he's adjusted well to a few things and has made some smart moves this season. The team still has some major base running errors and is giving up some really dumb outs in games.

The main problem though is hands down the pitching and it really doesn't matter who you put in at this point. We are in for a long haul of losing baseball until this franchise can shed a few of the long term contracts and reload with better bats and arms.

Looking at the schedule this week 3 games at Washington and then 4 at Baltimore. I don't think Brad makes it with a job by the Twins series which is the 16th.

That Henning article was pretty good. I think he's wrong about Brad surviving that long. He's correct thought he sensible thing is to hold Brad, no one is going to want to take that job. Whoever takes it is most likely going to get fired really soon.

The expectations are super high and the talent is no where near close enough to meet them.

I think it was Dombrowski trying to be smarter than everyone else and finding the next Joe Maddon...obviously has fallen well short of that.
