The problem is when you just have one insecure moderator, maybe he’s upset at his lack of knowledge about football or MSU in general or whatever , and you just disagree with him, he then takes it really personal, and bans you. They should have some kind of screening process over there. Like Heat. Before he let us be Mods here we had to submit to a background check. I thought sending him $1000 of weed was also a stiff fee for vetting us, but at least he had a process.

I clicked the above link and just looked over the front page. There are only a couple names I remember. Probably only 3-4 I would want to poach (if that were such a thing).

Get the feeling the mods at the 247 board get frustrated and do mass bannings. (Happened to me earlier this year on a thread that went all Wells Hall.)

Every time that happens the schtick creators create more screen names and it’s gotten to the point where at least 50% of the posters have 5-10 screen names (or more)

EdMartin'sLoan (also known as DeltaGrove way back) was entertaining. Tried getting him over here but failed. Not sure if he still posts on TOB or not. TreeRat was good too.

Martin Spartan basically takes a shot at one of our new portal players (after previously chastising a poster for being negative about a recruit). I call him out for it.

That place is a pool of cess.

I find the RCMB to be a great place to discuss sports.

The only small moment of concern there was a few months ago I got a DM from some hostile user that I rarely see on there. He told me I was a clown.

I saw that the DM was sent around 2AM and figured he was just getting home from the bar. Whatever. I gave him some links with some useful information on recognizing and treating alcoholism. Outside of that little hiccup no issues.

It's also a great place to discuss music. I started a thread about music this summer that had over 10,000 views, a ton of likes and over a hundred response. Everyone kept it civil and people were trading all sorts of music play lists. It was awesome.

It's a great place to engage UM trolls pretending to be MSU fans, while the mods ban actual MSU fans.

It's not a great place to discuss anything. An army of bots took over the whole place, plus some posters convinced success in life comes from winning the internet every day.

I think 80% of the posters are pretty active over on the RCMB. This place does have one thing going for it though you can count on getting negative bombed for just about anything.

Something i have learned from both boards is that people actually care about upvotes, downvotes, likes, dislikes - whatever.

Fascinating from a sociological and or psychological standpoint.

Also some of the racial undertones re Mel Tucker over there is disgusting.
