The ACA is stupid. The law made it illegal to discriminate against people for pre-existing conditions (i.e. charge them an arm and leg for healthcare premiums). Insurance providers had to re-price their insurance packages based on the new rules around quoting premiums. Basically they ended up charging healthy people more because it's now illegal to charge sick people more.

Having a profit seeking middle man between healthcare and citizens is a disaster. We need single payer healthcare.

agree - ACA is a step in the right direction and means well, but it's still not what we need. I've long been an advocate for a single-payer system.

As long as corporations are getting rich of the misfortune of others, greed will be what drives the train. And that shouldn't happen at the peril of the health of our family, friends and neighbors.
