That was a great show. Sure it had some unbelievable plot holes that were hard to accept, but it had some really good characters and a lot of laughs. Oh yeah, and some hot T&A!

Tom Kapinos did a great job with that. Keeps you entertained while tackling the subjects that are close to him without seeming preachy. It helps that David Duchovny is very likable.

Both, drama of the later ones and the budget of the later ones. It's so far a wild roller coaster ride. I'm really digging it.

I think I posted earlier in the thread that with only 6 episodes, it is stupid that they're doing some of these one-off random monster episodes that aren't part of the mythology.

I retract that after last night's episode. It started off kind of "meh", and the monster looked like they just grabbed a Halloween costume from the bargain bin (which may have been on purpose), but it really picked up with good humor. After such a long time off, it would have been easy for them to try too hard for the quirkyness/humor and have it fall flat on it's face. But very well done, and reminded me that the show still had a lot of really good moments outside of mysteries of the mythology.

I'm majorly disappointed. It's not that the episodes in themselves are bad, it's that they could have fit into any of seasons 1-9, maybe with the exception of the first episode. I was really hoping for some groundbreaking stuff. Maybe I'll get that in the finale, but if you ask me, they've blown a huge opportunity unless this was about nothing more than a paycheck.

Maybe Duchovny can carry on, morph into a Kolchak type charachter in a Night Stalker sort of series, probably on cable and add some Californication T&A

I've enjoyed them. I thought last weeks with the spray paint monster was awful, but I've been into all of the other episodes.

The one this week was so out there with the terrorists, the placebo shrooms and Duchovny having trip at a cowboy honkytonk. The closer should be epic and will tie together the first episode.

Fox announced Thursday that The X-Files will return for the 2017-18 broadcast season with 10 new episodes. Stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are both signed on to reprise their roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Creator and executive producer Chris Carter is on board as well.
