I thought I knew basketball and I kind of do. But I was an AD of a high school for over a decade. I'd go to practices. We had a good boys varsity coac. Never recruited he just took our kids and made them better by the end of the year. I'd watch his drills and his rules on defense and putting in his offense and it was pretty much over my head. And that was just a good high school coach. I won't pretend I even come close to rules involved on defense or izzo's plays and sets. Shits way more complicated than we think. I know when I'm stupid about something. I know just like football there are basic fundamental things you do, but strategically, sub patterns, play sets, defensive rules, no way. I'd be lost.

It's funny but most arguments come because we all played sports and think we know what it's all about. I can do basic mechanics on my car but I wouldn't insult an engineer and tell him how to design an engine.
