Are we going to do message board invasions when FB season rolls around?

I always enjoyed a good, well organized message board invasion of opposing team boards. It's pointless to do it in OT season since most people aren't there, but once the football season starts, we should show people who's boss. Chat board invasions are even better.

The other board was too PC to allow a public thread to gather the troops, so we had to do it via PMs, which obviously limited who would participate.

Will the management of this board allow a public call to arms?

As far as message board invasions, I'm not sure where the liability falls if it is being organized on this site. At the end of the day, our rules here are pretty straight-forward (read the FAQ) so as long as we follow those, I don't see why not.

Start creating usernames on Oregon boards now in order to conceal your true identity for when the time is right.

Creating user names early is key, but I don't like messing with out of conference people (other than ND). We have so little contact with those schools, I don't want to give them a bad impression. Even Maryland and Rutgers should get a pass for a while IMO. Let's teach them to hate UM first. Once that is established, then we can clown them in a few years.

Conference opponents though are open season.

I used to subscribe to Spartan Mag, and so I was active on the Rivals Main Board, which used to be a fun place.

I recall when a group broke off from that board and started The-mainboard.com . They had also been banned and were upset with the direction of the board, so they made their own.

On their new board, they allowed porn and anything else. And every once in a while, they'd stage a massive invasion of the Rivals Main Board. Invariably, they'd post pics of gay porn. It was disgusting, but in it's own way, funny as hell.

They'd have a thread title like "Per ESPN, proof that Cam Newton got paid...Auburn to be revoked of title". A title like that, everyone is going to open the thread. Well, when you did, you'd see something that can't be unseen.

The beauty of it was that there was no recourse. You can't beat an adversary that is willing to go find gay porn, save it to his hard drive, and then upload it on your message board. Those guys were dedicated.
