It is not just Rondon that is the issue. K Rod was lucky on Friday. Shane Green looked terrible and got lucky on Saturday. The Tigers are very lucky to be up 2-1 in this series and not down 0-3. When they win the bullpen is just getting by.

I couldn't agree more. If they could add just one arm that could control an inning this team could probably make it to the playoffs. The starting rotation looks solid to me. It is high and time to get a bp arm that is under the age of 27 that can throw some 95+mph heat and mow down batters. The organization has no problem shelling out the cash for a bat or a great starting pitcher. This is the one area where the Tigers have been cheap and it has cost them.

We don't know if Jiminez is the answer or not. I'm going to trust that Brad saw something that told them that Rondon was either their best option or that Jiminez needed some more time. Lets not forget at one point Rondon was the 'answer' to the bp problems and look how he has turned out.
