When Avilla mentioned blowing the team up last winter I wasn't a fan until I heard the late great Drew Sharp outlined what the Tigers potentially could have got trading Verlander in his last Talking Tigers Podcast. He had me convinced that blowing up the team was the right move.

This team is going to be horse shit with a HOF pitcher and hitter for the next couple of years. The smart move would be to give Verlander a legit shot at a ring and try to rebuild.

The 6-foot-3 hurler has pitched out of the bullpen and the starting rotation. In four starts this season for the Mud Hens, he's 1-2 with a 1.25 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 21 2/3 innings.

He has never pitched in the Major Leagues.

When I first started watching the Tigs like some 15+ years ago I thought for months Rod Allen was the white guy and Mario was the black guy. Bro, story, cool.
