Who has ever said there's no such thing? I just don't understand the Christian statement that Islam is any more of a violent religion than Christianity. Both of their holy texts quote God instructing his people to murder. Many interpret the violence advocated by the Christian God to be more murderous than in the Koran. Just because right now there are more people committing violence in the name of their Islamic faith doesn't make the religion itself more violent. Christians have waged war in the name of God many many times. For the most part, that was long ago, but it doesn't change that it happened. Call that excuse making for Muslim extremism if you want. Personally, I call it pointing out your hypocrisy.

I have to disagree with much of this post. Maybe Christianity and Islam are approximately equivalently violent IN THEORY (simply going off of their texts) (and I'm merely conceding this point for the sake of conversation because I'm not familiar enough with the Koran to say whether or not that's actually the case). But in practice and in reality, Islam is MUCH more violent in the present day. I don't think that is really disputable. I don't like any religion, but from where I sit, Islam is very clearly the worst religion of them all.

I also don't like the tendency when Islam is criticized to criticize other religions (usually Christianity). Seems to me to be analogous to when someone criticizes Trump and someone else responds with a criticism of Obama. But I'll try to shut up about that, because I feel myself becoming a little internet police-y lately.

True. Plenty of other massacres carried out by christians wearing a us uniform. I just listed a couple. And again, because I point that out doesn't mean I'm pro Muslim. Dumb ass will accuse me of it shortly.

Also Caley got life but was let out after 3 1/2 years. All or most other charges were dropped. Terrorism needs to be stopped. But we've never been guilt free.
