Do you think that detracts from the visibility of the sport? I think it helps. I also think other programs need to step up. UConn is miles ahead. Coaches and players have worked hard to get that far ahead. I am not sold that makes the sport bad. I am sold it makes UConn great.

Women's college basketball survives because of Title IX.

It used to be UConn and Tennessee

Since 1995, UConn has won 11 national titles. In that same time, Tennessee has won five. Tennessee last won titles in 2007 and 2008. So yeah, for the last two decades the sport has pretty much been dominated by a pair of teams. UConn has obviously taken it to a different level, but in the age of the Women's Tournament it has not been a sport defined by parity.

That's fine. I guess people are fascinated by their dominance. But I also think more people would tune into their Tournament if other teams had a legitimate chance to beat them.
