It's MSU Graduation Weekend in East Lansing..

I don't have anything else to say, really - other than go somewhere early for dinner/drinks if you wanna get a table.

oh - and it's also Cinco de Mayo - so expect a bunch of white people wearing sombreros.

My son received his masters degree yesterday. Emotional day as that boy was a troubled teen that truly got his shit together. Never in a million years did I think he would ever hold a bachelors ( also from MSU) let alone a post graduate degree. #spartanswill

I graduate tomorrow. Twin bro's ceremony was today.

I'm sure you guys remember my baseball trip from last summer..and one of my best friends Drew that went on that trip with me committed suicide. He would've been a senior in Psychology this year. They presented his parents with an honorary degree in his name before they started reading off the other names. Frickin emotional.

Also, i'm gonna lose my shit when they play the alma mater and I don't even care

I didn't need know MSU did that for parents of children who died. It's such a nice gesture. Is the honorary degree presented in front of the entire audience? Do they acknowledge the suicide or just that their child died?
