for whatever reason, and I don't pretend to understand it, my anecdotal observation is that lots of kids a) drink on Thursdays and b) seem to do it while wearing some sort of jersey representing a sports team.

I have to say I'm glad to learn the latest college fashion trend is not a tank top jersey of a random team. They were all over downtown EL this morning, and it looked goofy. This ain't some country from the old Eastern Bloc. We have khakis and oxfords and Gap and Abercrombie and for Bob, hemp ponchos.
