3rd generation and 100% is impressive...proof Italians like to stick together. My ex is 100% first generation. Both of her parents were right off the boat. Her mom's side of the family took refuge from bombing runs in caves during WWII. Her dad claimed he and his friends used skulls to play soccer. They didn't meet until both got to the States and moved to Detroit. Ended up owning a few successful Italian restaurants in the area. Was never more than one at a time because he didn't trust anyone to do the cooking or handle the cash. Both of my ex's parents were phenomenal cooks and taught me a lot. My MIL is still the nicest person I've ever met, even though she's been gone over 20 years. Always liked her side of my ex's family...really good people.

I'm 100% Finnish. Have 4 kids over 21 that are half Italian and half Finnish. Proud of all them.
