Some great reporting at ESPN. Long but interesting read on inner turmoil between Belichik and Brady and makes a pretty compelling case that the Patriots are falling apart.

One other take away, it seems like Belichick would never do the Tom Brady farewell tour crap like the Yankees did for Jeter. He was always looking ahead and the second Brady couldn’t compete for championships he was ready to switch up to Garoppolo and extend the dynasty.

It would be sweet if Belichick quit the Pats after this year and took on the ultimate rebuild by taking on the Lions jon and cementing his legacy as GOAT by winning a SuperBowl for the D.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the Patriots try and offer Jimmy G a max deal.

If Belichick wants to stay for a few more years, he will try his hardest to cut Brady.

I have a feeling that Kraft will eventually win out and we could very well see Bill leave this offseason and just retire.

Could you imagine? The biggest "Fuck you" to the Patriots would be Belichick leaving with Patricia and McDaniels to go somewhere, just to spite Kraft and Brady.

Belichick could cement Brady's legacy as a system QB and his system as the best ever in pro football by taking the SF job and lead them to the superbowl. And erase anything Harbaugh in SF as well. lol

Shanahan is not getting fired in San Francisco. After Jimmy G came there and started, they are 5-0 and have outscored opponents by almost 50 points. That team is going to be scary in a year or two.

I could see Bill just walking away.

It would cost the Fords millions but....they might have an actual chance to win and Ford Field would sell out at whatever prices they asked for the season in 5 minutes or less.

Ive decided that the smartest thing Belichick and crew could do is become the lions coach someone tell him that.

Going off the article, looks like Bill wants to set it up so his kids can have long careers. Hire the three of them and for Belichick this can be on par with Parcell’s move of reviving the Jets.

I didn't know until today that Belichick's dad played for the Lions. He could bring all of his kids in. Damn even if he lost the circus would be fun.

Kraft, Belichick and Brady: The Marvel Is That the Patriots Dynasty Has Lasted This Long

The Giants aren’t the only team that might be jonesing for Belichick. What about former New England personnel men Bob Quinn (GM in Detroit) and Jon Robinson (GM in Tennessee)? Quinn has a head-coaching opening, and Robinson might. Both are indebted to Belichick, have quarterbacks 30-or-younger who could be big winners, and might be enticing for Belichick. He was born in Nashville. His first full-time position-coaching job in the NFL was in Detroit.

Would be incredible if he did come to Detroit. Since Tennessee won their game last night you have to figure the chances of them firing their coach have reduced. Will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the season.
