Who knows? I probably sounded insensitive but I had 2 friends off themselves in their teens over women. Made me hypersensitive to when my kids were going through a tough time/break up to keep telling them no person/relationship was worth killing themself over. No doubt. I sounded insensitve too, but I seem to recall some blowback by the fanbase (could you imaging MSU's) during and after the bowl game. Also, I don't know if this is their message board, but it looks locked down.
