I get it. There’s something gratifying about shoveling. But when it’s almost a foot of snow, I’m pulling out tbe machine. BTW, every year I change the oil and put in a new spark plug and use fresh gas. Never once needed more than a couple pulls to get going.

Did the Northern Lower get the 12”-18” of snow that was predicted last week? I didn’t see anything about the aftermath. Then again, I suck at all math, whether it’s before, during, or aftermath.

Some places got quite a bit, I know my son said Gaylord and north got whacked. We only got 6" or so here.

I'm good usually. Got camp stoves, lanterns, etc plus 2 generators. So I've always got lights and water/food, with those two you can hold out for a looooooong time.

So it's 59 degrees in Lansing right now. 35 in Mio. That's a pretty huge swing for only being what, 150 miles further north. That radar is not looking good up there.

Last fall I bought a 30-pack of those green glow sticks just to have in the event of a power outage. I guess they’re okay, but they throw damn near zero light. I should pack me up and send them to OTPT so he can use them during festival season.

At 2pm I heard the loudest thunderclap I've heard since I've lived here. Just slushy rain so far.

I've seen one stink bug. He gone.

T.V. 9&10 in Manistee for the flood. Jeff Mikula, director of public safety is a Spartan, marches with us in the parade on the fourht. Hope it works.

Not a complete fizzle....maybe 3-4" of snow - some ice - and the wind is blowing like hell.

But not a death storm so far.

The icy roads might delay the Sunday newspaper delivery tomorrow. Now how the hell am I supposed to get my news?
