This winter will never die
I know some of this has been talked about in the 2018 storm thread. But it seriously feels like this shit will never end. I need real spring and summer to start or I will lose my shit. Everyone here must be at their peak “SAD” levels.
This is not funny and pissing me off.

What’s this bs weather doing to our cherry crops, or is it still too early to worry?

It's been too cold for them to bloom so they're probably okay.tGreenWay wrote:What’s this bs weather doing to our cherry crops, or is it still too early to worry?

I have still never had one before. Are they really that good? Or just over hyped?

If you like mushrooms, you will love morels. Fresh are best but extremely seasonal. Some stores (Nino's) sell dried that you can re-hydrate and even those are pretty damn good.Dendrobates wrote:The Pantry wrote:The morels probably won't start coming up til close to Memorial day.

Thanks. That’s good news. I figured it might be a little early yet.

Does Dominos still synthesize morels for their pizzas or did they give that up?

Re: This winter will never die
Our 3rd and last scrimmage got cancelled for tomorrow. Have only practiced outside twice so far and our first league game is a week from tomorrow, first tourney is next weekend. Not how I envisioned the start of the season to play out. Big year this year as we are heading to Cooperstown in July.

I hate this winter so much. The worst winter I can remember and I've lived here my whole life. Of course next year I'll probably say the same thing.

Late May to mid October is the only weather worth a damn in this state. But even June is dicey some years.

That winter a few years ago where we got a gazillion inches of snow was pretty darn awful. Was that also the year we kept getting those super cold spells they called arctic death knell or whatever? Because that winter sucked, too.

I'm pretty sure that was 2013 when it set records for both snowfall and being the coldest fucking winter on record in these parts ever. The next year was no picnic either.

That sucks, I’m so over this crap at this point. Looking at the weather it looks like this weekend is finally going to be nice.

This roads this morning were absolutely dangerous this morning. A Jeep slid right by me at an intersection coming into work. Luckily I was turning already and was able to stop. Fuck winter in it's dumb fucking ass. This is stupid.

Re: This winter will never die
my wife called me at one point and said that a road leading into her office was like a parking lot. Total standstill - cars couldn't even gain enough traction to move forward.Watch Out Pylon! wrote:This roads this morning were absolutely dangerous this morning.
