How the fuck do you find a decent Doc?

Trying to find a solid doc after a shit experience with my last one. How the hell do you find a doc? Whether it’s word of mouth, reviews online, etc etc it always seems like there are mixed opinions of the docs.

Word of mouth always worked for me. It’s also helpful because, if the doc isn’t taking new patients, the person doing the recommending can ask the doc to let you slide in.

Based on my experience the 1st criteria for a primary care Dr. is they should be a female. Don't know which sexist attribute you want to credit but women seem to take more time and listen.

I always ask about their ring-size.

I've always found the ones with the smallest fist are best.

What type of doctor do you need?

If you need a specialist, ask a nurse. Seriously.

my primary care physician is a dude.. I think I've met him once in exactly 23+ years. I typically see a female PA in the office I go to. Which is maybe once every 2 years or so. But she's cool.

as someone else said, word of mouth is probably the best endorsement.

Do you know any rich people? Ask them who they go to see and that's your best bet.

I definitely keep tabs on docs I know. I have a long list of those I would never send my family to. And some I would refer in a heartbeat.

I've had to switch doctors a few times over the years because of various bullshit. I'm with a pretty hot young one as my primary care doc. I mean she's pretty good too but the hotness is a nice perk.

Well.... I do have some serious medical issues, and I’ve seeb a few specialists . But that wasn’t what I was getting at.
