I was watching real time with Bill Maher and they discussed pageants on the panel. I never really thought about it before but the whole thing is pretty fucked up.

Yep, I think I watched one in the 80s. Can’t believe the networks even make any money on them.

Yeah, I remember back in the day too. I watched them in the 70's I think. However, there was some such show on just recently. Miss Michigan made the top ten and she was an MSU student. I know this because my wife and daughters were watching it together in the living room and making comments. My opinion? I think the women who watch it are going to be more upset than the very few men who watch it. They are very critical in the fashion part of the show like how much they like or don't like the dress or suit. At least that's what I was hearing from three girls a week or so ago.
