No, I think Ann just wants you to hate the colored and the immigrant soccer playing fake Americans. If they're white god fearing NRA members I think she would be good with them playing soccer or maybe tuning it in after bible study.

Interesting. I guess I haven't read any other articles of her's in awhile... but this particular article seems to try to connect soccer and to "liberalism" in a pejorative context than race. The Salon article is trying it's best to find the racial element (as it typically always does) but besides a comment or two (one of which being an inclusive comment), she seems far more interested in the right/left dichotomy and the media trying to sell soccer as something more than it is in the US than railing against immigration or race.

She's obviously not pandering to the knuckle dragging god fearing white people who hate the coloreds and immigrants. That is far from anything she'd do. Now that I read it again, she's definitely making a clear precise statement about the media and their selling of something as unimportant world wide as the world cup. And really, they should not be covering this event. There is plenty of other things to cover. Glad I gave it a second read.

Oh, she's an idiot and it shows in this article, no doubt. While I agree with her regarding her points strictly dealing with the game of soccer and why I have a hard time watching it for very long..... her attempts at analogies to politics is embarrassing. She could have at least attempted to be humorous.

Ann Coulter needs to be known. She is a celebrity like Al Sharpton. She loves the spotlight and will do and say anything to remain relevant. As soon as she stops being like this, she will have to find a job, and no one wants to do that.
