While I don't have a problem with the guys who choose to sit out the bowl game (I don't agree with it, but I understand the reasoning), I don't like those players being on the sideline.

I just don't like the optics or "feel" of it.

I know the coaches walk on eggshells to not offend players/recruits but I wouldn't want them on the trip or the sidelines. I'll bet they got the swagbags and all the benefits of the bowl trip w/o playing. If so, that's bullshit and a slap on their teammates.

It irks me when they sit out, roam the sidelines, and usually are the ones running thir mouths to the play on the field they chose to avoid.  If you're there supporting your teammates, then no issue

Yeah. As I mentioned, I don't like/agree with the recent trend of guys sitting out - but I understand the business side of it.

However, I think you're either on the team and committed to the team, or you're not. There's nowhere in between.

I have no problem with them sitting. Main reason is teams, Michigan for example, will be cutting players this off season because they over recruited. Treat it like a business then expect to be treated like one in return. If the NFL offers you a better gig than the NCAA, then sit.

Here's the thing, let's make a rule that Bama can't get in with one loss. If they lose their occasional game to Auburn or Georgia, that's it, doneski. Much harder to maintain concentration and run the table. Once they lose all that does is focus them in more. Years like this, no one is beating them, they are kind of generational.

That’s old school hard core. There was talk of NFL players decades ago who were said to have sprinkled lye in the eyes of opposing players at the bottom of the pile, when refs couldn’t see well. Conrad Dobler is the one player that comes to mind first.
