A student driving a moped on campus was killed Tuesday morning after crashing into a salt truck.
Cpt. Doug Monette, the public information officer for the Michigan State University Police Department, told the Lansing State Journal the crash occurred around 7:49 a.m. at the intersection of Shaw Lane and Chestnut Road.

Monette told LSJ there is an open and ongoing investigation into the crash. Police have released no information about the victim.


She went to HS with my kids - the name hasn't been release, but the news has traveled through the community. Tomorrow is not a given.
