I don't know, man.. my wife is the pillow aficionado around here. I just use whichever pillows are on my side.

In the same boat, we've been looking. Went to the department store and looked at the usual shit but there must be some pillow out there that's a game changer. Sorry Pylon I'm not going to support that one pillow guy that advertises on Fox News all the time.

It depends what kind of sleeper you are. Side, back, etc.
This is great for a side sleeper. https://relaxtheback.com/products/contourside-pillow

I'm all over the place. I can fall asleep on my side or stomach, but I always end up on my back.

Side sleeper mostly, but I do sleep on the back about 20-25%. Is that a pillow for specifically a side sleeper only? My neck is messed up along with my back plus I have to lose 25 LBs and I'm 57.
I'm a fucking mess.
Drove up to EL on Wednesday to fix the kids water pump and serpentine belt in her commander. Drove back wednesday night, didn't sleep well at all. Neck hurt bad Thursday all day. Had to drive back up to EL thursday to pick the young one up for Easter. (Older kid has commitments) got back here, couldn't lay on my side or move the neck. Sure, I probably wrenched it somehow, but I was thinking it's time to take care of everything physical before this spins out of control. (Maybe it already has for this old man) Spring clean up is tomorrow and my yards a mess.

The pillow I linked is great for a side sleeper because it fills the contour between your head and shoulders. Some of you guys know about the neck issue I had last summer that was fucking AWFUL. I have not had a relapse since I've started using that pillow. Knock on wood.

Yeah, I'm in a sort of similar boat. Mid 40's. I hate to say it but the easiest way to lose weight is to give up the beer if you can swing it. I gave it up for two months to start the year and after like 2 weeks people were like wow you look great! Going without it has it's perks. Slept like a dream, lost weight and had more energy. Once you get into a groove without it it's not that hard.
Started drinking again during the Elite 8 with the idea that I'll have a few here and there. That's the hardest thing is to just 'have a few here and there' and I don't think I can do it. Why? Because beer tastes so fucking good.

Re: Pillows. The sleep kind pervs.
Been using a tempur-pedic side/neck pillow for a couple of years and loved it. It’s a firmer feel, though. Wife hated it, but convinced her to try a bunch of different tempur-pedic styles/thickness/firmness. Once we got a new mattress a few months ago, she got the Oprah-recommended style and raves about it. I switched to a softer, thinner pillow because I sometimes sleep on my stomach, and because the mattress we bought had more give than our previous one.
I’ll say this, too; I’ve been skeptical about anything related to Art Van, but the woman at the Pure Sleep store was excellent and very knowledgeable. She asked great questions about our sleep patterns, made mattress suggestions we tried out in the store, and then pillow suggestions based on the two previous factors. No pressure at all. It helped she had 14+ years experience selling mattresses. Was pretty easy on the eyes, too.
DWags, if you’re still coming to EL, you should go see this woman. You can try different pillows and buy if you like.

Bob
Greenway, I just might do that. So, last night I ordered a four pack of the "My Pillow". It was usually 128 bucks two queen size and 2 travel anywhere. I used a promo code and got them for 80 bucks. I think I only overpaid by like 50 bucks instead of 98 dollars. So, somewhere in my muddled mind I think I saved like 48 bucks and given it a try.
I love the WBH pillow thing and trust you, but I do like to mix it up a bit sleeping. Not much, but I think if I had that pillow I'd have to stay on the side and when I went for the back move, I wouldn't get back to sleep.
Steve. after easter I'm on the wagon till July. Next fall, I'm only hitting about three games at home total. No basketball either. That will be a big help.
Pantry, can you much that pillow up and kind of have your arm under it and have it under your head at the same time? Seems too solid.
Anyway, I'll let you guys know how the "My pillow" goes. I just went on facebook and my feed was full of my pillow shit. It's frightening how scary that is. I went to an independent website, I ordered my pillow. has nothing to do with facebook. I go on today and it's bombing me with shit. How did facebook know?

I bought the regular king, not the medium-firm. That picture makes it look firm but it's just fully fluffed up. It's goose down and munches up nicely, especially after breaking it in a couple weeks. Will take pretty much any form you want. They tend to flatten after a period of use. When that happens you just fluff it back up again.DWags wrote:Pantry, can you much that pillow up and kind of have your arm under it and have it under your head at the same time? Seems too solid.
Have used goose down pillows about 35 years. Can't stand anything else.

Ordinarily, you would, but the big sell on the item is the high thread count made of Egyptian cotton. Seems like a pillowcase kind of nullifies that, unless your pillowcase is just as nice, if not better. No matter what, though, it still sounds like a luxurious Guest down pillow.

Not sure why the thread count is so high. Maybe it helps keep the down in. I keep two pillowcases on pillows. First one is a pillow protector that zips around the pillow and then the outer pillowcase.tGreenWay wrote:The Pantry wrote:Why would you not put a pillowcase on it?

Great pillow that breathes and stays fairly cool because there are no synthetic materials to retain heat.

I get it. I’d actually prefer it, but my allergies acted up the one time I had one in HS, so I’ve never tried again, because you can’t return them.

Also, I was hoping you’d disagree with me so I could say something like: “Putting a pillowcase on a thread count that high would be like telling a naked Alison Brie to put on a Hilary-style pants suit.”

In Jr. HS. we had a janitor who had a dental accoutrement. It was a gold tooth with a star imprinted in the center. He’s probably dead now.

Bingo is cancelled on religious holidays; you know that. Bocci was a blast, though, until DWags pivoted wrong and hurt his hip.
