Swillers, when it comes to tattoos, what is the fascination with skulls and death?

It’s everywhere in the tattoo world. I don’t get it. Help me understand.

I disagree. I know plenty of people with tattoos that aren’t white trash. With this being said, let’s be honest here, if you live in the burbs most of the people you know with tattoos are trashy. Does that make any sense? Location and context matters.

The 3D tattoos I’ve seen are cool. Not for me, but still cool. And there are some ridiculous 3D skull tats out there.

Generally trashy.

I have a bunch of tattoos. None are death/skull oriented.

when the wind blows just right, it unfurls to a good inch, inch and a half.

I think I will get my tattoo of the skull and crossbones on my face. I will also have a picture of Nordic tattooed next to it yelling "We gonna do some god damn skull fucking up in here".

Zero tattoos. Always found them cost prohibitive. Never felt like paying hundreds of dollars for a really painful experience and an image that is permanently on my skin.

when I was a kid I put on a temporary tattoo once, it was fun to show off and when the novelty wore off I was able to wash it away.

Ugh, when I worked in midtown Manhattan that was my daily work uniform. Would go to the closet and grab a different shade of blue every day, button that fucker up and get on the train.
