For a guy that claims to be socially plugged in....woke...more than an athlete...opened a school... this shit is rubbing me the wrong way y'all, no? I'm not sure if it's cultural appropriation, racist, or just bad taste. Maybe all 3? As a reminder, LeBron got pissed at Phil Jackson for using the word posse.

For the record, having taco tuesday isn't really the issue here. it's the voice/tone he is saying the shit in and that fucking laugh.

I think in the US, a posse would generally be interpreted as a group of armed men supporting a sheriff (like in bad, old Western movies). Unless there was some yelling or chanting? Not sure.

In a vacuum, who knows, but I think an old white guy calling a young black professional's business associates a posse is probably racist.

I'm sure the words we use today discussing race or other cultures will be considered racist or at least poor form in about 50 years. Shit changes, yo. But to reiterate, this doesn't seem insensitive to me.

Just rubbed me the wrong way, bruh, not sure what to tell ya. As i said in the OP it really means nothing - just like most of the posts on the swill.

There will always be the possibility of people taking things the wrong way. It happens alot when another demographic adopts lingo or slang or accents from other races ethnic groups. Haven't watched but I'm not gonna sweat it.
