Fantasy Football 2019
Work league PPR draft started yesterday. Not on the clock and pretty cool. Done with a googledocs spreadsheet that updates real time. Drafting #7 (10 teams) and coming up on my 5th round pick. Lot of QBs taken so far, unlike last season. I'm holding out on QB a few more rounds.
This leagues' settings are different from standard. DST can score a bunch of points. Considering drafting Da Bears before a QB.

Had my draft tonight. Feeling pretty good about my team. I need Todd Gurley and Devonta Freeman to stay healthy and I'll be in good shape.

Good luck with Gurley. Wanted no part of that. Taking my chances with David Johnson and Dalvin Cook, both busted up last season.

He was a keeper for me, my league has 2 keepers per team. He cost me a third, which seemed like good value, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous about him.

Freeman was my first round pick last year, that worked out well okay maybe not first round but I took him early to pair with leveon.

Re: Fantasy Football 2019
I play in a FF league. I would consider it high stakes. I enjoy the shit out of it, and it's pretty much the only reason I care about NFL. Here is some real talk though. No one ever gives a shit about your FF league. In real life, or on the internet. If they pretend to, it's only so they can get to a point where they can ask their own question about their own team. This is my own observation.

Most people I know care more about fantasy CFL than NFL. I miss fantasy NFL Europe.

Turtleneck you need to go back to the lab. I appreciate what you're trying to do but it needs work. Serious work. If you're going to simply be a sniper, you have to improve your game. I mean you have to pick your spots bro. If you want to contribute to the conversation, but just be a sarcastic observer, save your bullets. Believe me, we all are not very smart, and we will give you plenty of opportunities to fire them.

I get why you took a shot at me, but way to throw everybody else under the bus. Maybe stop trying to take everybody down to your level, bro.

I was just being surly TN. I enjoy your snide remarks. At least your sense of humor is better than Greenway's.

I'm screwed. The commish entered all our offline picks at Yahoo and I got an A- for the draft and predicted to go 10-3. Yahoo is never right.

You're in an offline league? Does that mean the commissioner manually keeps track of the points? Why would he want to do that? That sounds time-consuming.
Anyway we wait till Labor Day to have our draft for this exact reason. It seems like every year players either get injured or retire right before the season starts.

Re: Fantasy Football 2019
Just got back from the bar for our auction draft. Unquestionably the nerdiest thing I do, but one of the funnest days of the year. I will own it. I can justify watching the NFL with $5000 on the line. Crazy that Luck and Lamar Miller are down in the span of a couple of hours.

Re: Fantasy Football 2019
The draft is offline...off the clock. You can take however much time you want (even hours) researching your pick when it comes up, but will take a ton of shit via text if you take too long. Has worked great the last few seasons. Last year the draft took about a week to complete. This season took ~4 days.y2kMgrad wrote:The Pantry wrote:Poor bastard in our offline draft picked him in the 2nd round...

Ah, gotcha. That makes more sense. We do an online draft for a keeper league. Two keepers but they have to be different positions. I won the league last year and really have 4 keepers on my team: Brees, Kelce, Davante Adams and Juju. I traded Adams for a 5th round pick so I'm getting something for him. I'll probably keep Kelce and Juju. Not a bad start considering the draft isn't till next weekend.

Turtleneck I just want to thank you for the grace and class you have shown while under non stop assault from pantry. I think I speak for swillers all over the world when I say that your behavior has been an exemplary model for the way that we hope all swillers, nay, people, would behave under such duress. Please keep up the good attitude and continue being a beacon of light for all of us to follow.
