I went down to the city to go to the US Open. Got out at Grand Central and walked a few blocks to get some lunch before heading over to the facility. It really jumped out at me how many people are walking and staring at their phones. I think the internet and aps are rotting our brains.

Not sure I agree. The first photo of the couple in bed is pretty stark, but some of those photos show physical contact, which is in itself an import part of nonverbal intimacy. Thirty years ago, those would be books, and no one would think anything was off. I get the photog’s purpose and message, but like I said, a few of his examples don’t ring true to me.

2nd pic of the two young guys grilling. That looks like a really nice lawn. Would like to see that in color. That’s all I got from these photos.

That kid is playing with a stick!  And his dad could be checking a thermometer.  The mom is a lost cause.

Hey, the phone is important. If it wasn’t for the phone, I would have to straight up listen to all those boring people who are clearly less intelligent than me. It gives me an escape, and keeps from saying “you bore me, go away.” I am very fun at parties.
